TruQuant pre-coated streptavidin magnetic beads are prepared by saturating streptavidin binding sites with biotin-labeled antibodies, forming a stable and fully occupied surface before sample introduction. It prevents free biotin present in patient samples from binding to the beads and generating false signals. Pre-coated beads effectively reduce biotin interference, lower background noise, and improve assay specificity and reliability, particularly in samples from patients taking biotin supplements or high-dose therapies.
